This is Dave Brown. Dave happens to be one of my favorite guitarists. And I'm not just saying that because I play with him sometimes. I'm saying it because he's that good. Yes, he knows all of the chords and scales and theory up and down and back to front and sideways. Yes, he can play the hell out of a jazz chart or whatever blues, rock or country tune you want to throw at him. But lots of guys can do that. The reason Dave is special is that he understands on a deeper level WHY he is playing. When he's in the zone, his solos have the power to heal you from the inside out. I believe music is capable of that when it's played in the right way. Dave can play it like that.
