This here is David Throckmorton. Big Throck. He did all of the drum tracks on Long Way From Home. Throck is another musician who is as comfortable (maybe more so) playing jazz or hip hop as he is playing rock. The reason I love playing with him is that he's got a vicious, very direct groove. He leaves a lot of space between the beats. When he hits a drum he hits it hard, like he's trying to hurt you. But really he's not, he's trying to help you. I get crazy when it comes to the rhythm of the music. If the feel of the drums isn't right, I would quite honestly rather do the dishes than finish the damn song. Because without a strong foundation, there is simply no point in building the house.
